About this artwork
In "Ember Lines," I follow the movement without controlling it. The reds and oranges emerge spontaneously, like embers forging their own path. Every brushstroke is a gesture, every mark an impulse between tension and release.
I understand the four picture planes as fragments of an inner state. They represent fragmentation and, at the same time, cohesion: independent, yet inextricably linked. Transparent layers and splashes leave room for chance,… depth, and breath.
I invite viewers not to look for a clear form, but to engage with the feeling, with movement, warmth and transformation.

- Works on commission
Tosca Volpi, a self-taught painter and photographer, works primarily with ink, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed materials, blending natural textures and spiritual motifs informed by her deep emotional and intuitive background. Her technique is intuitive and symbolic, characterized by fluid expression, intricate detail, and the layering of ancient symbols—runes, lunar cycles, and sacred geometry—across textured surfaces. Her artworks radiate mystical contemplation, vulnerability, resilience, and quiet spiritual power, inviting viewers to connect with profound emotions and archetypal memories woven through the feminine journey and the cycles of transformation.
