About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I merged acrylic, collage, wax, and resin to evoke a stirring narrative. This tableau weaves vintage tones with symbolic and figurative elements, creating a tactile and dimensional aesthetic that challenges viewers to ponder the boundaries and warnings present in both public spaces and human psyche. Its presence in a room is an invitation to reflection, carrying a quiet intensity that stirs conversation and contemplation.

« I am constantly fascinated by the interplay and collision of images and love to highlight the contrasts and similarities of seemingly disparate themes. »
Tracy Casagrande Clancy is an American artist whose work is distinctive in its experimental layering of images. As an encaustic painter, heat is essential to Casagrande Clancy’s practice; it moves the paint and images to places which cannot be reached with a paintbrush alone. Informed by her previous career as a Pediatric Grief Counselor, Casagrande Clancy uses her art as a means to search for our interconnectedness in the wider world.
