Entranced by the Abstract Expressionist School of painting, Trish Monahan has a very individual style that is multi-layered, loose, playful and dramatic. She favors organic references and colors, and works in oil, acrylic, ink and pastel. Her interpretations of nature are profoundly imbued with passion, complex emotions and ideas, but always remain harmonious and beautiful. She graduated from the University of Michigan, and continued her studies at Parson’s School of Design, and the Art Student’s League in New York.
