About this artwork
❝ The real stake for an artist is to create an interaction between the spectator and the work. Everything is in the association of matter, colors, and light. ❞
• This painting is a linen canvas 3 centimeters deep, painted with extra fine acrylic, on which are fixed two plexiglass plates painted with lacquer paint. They are spaced from each other by metal separators.
• This technique accentuates movement, energizes and gives the painting a very… original three-dimensional effect which varies according to the observer's point of view.
• The fixing system gives the whole a very great solidity (the total depth of the work is 7 centimeters).
• The edges of the painting being painted, it is not compulsory to frame the work. A hanging system is provided and allows the work to be presented immediately.

Tropel is a French painter who hails from Rouen and has exhibited nationally as well as in Luxembourg and Belgium. His works are oriented towards suggestion and his approach is focused on the language and expression of the body. Inspired by calligraphy, he translates movement, gestures and lines through the deformation of the body, in order to extract ‘the essential’. Tropel works mainly with acrylic paints, as they challenge him to work in a quick and spontaneous manner.
