Gemini is a metaphor for the splitting and merging of body and consciousness — which comes first: does the body generate consciousness that vibrates, or do we catch with our body the vibrations of something greater — the energy of mind itself?
Twins are not only a biological term — they are a symbol and a metaphor. One twin is life, the other is death. Between them is a portal — a threshold, a border.
The whale is time made flesh — something intangible… that takes form only when we fix our gaze upon it.
The irises are symbolic flowers. Their shades — violet, blue, lilac — their intertwining stems and leaves create a dreaming garden. A secret garden. A space of mystery, of unawareness, of the unconscious. The same irises as a pattern on clothing become decoration — representing the conscious, material world through which we try to explain and describe reality.
And the symbolism of Gemini — air. Movement. The transmission of information, memory, consciousness. Movement.
