Urban Hedin is a Swedish painter whose art has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions nationally. He is enthralled by light and shadow and by the painting process in and of itself. Hedin favors painting landscapes and mainly works using oil on canvas. He adds thick layers and employs a variety of knives for this technique. After which, he will paint and scratch the surface of a piece with his fingertips to achieve the desired effect.
