About this artwork
The painting was created based on my own photographic notes taken on a summer evening at the Baltic Sea beach near Habernis. To capture this carefree evening atmosphere after swimming, I used dynamic and expressive brushstrokes on the wooden support. My application of paint is bold and impasto, creating three-dimensional textures that lend the painting depth and vibrancy. The girl gazes into the distance, playfully finding her footing and balance.…
The painting is framed in a narrow pine wood frame and signed on the front. It is suspended by a steel cable. It was awarded second prize in the painting category at an art prize exhibition in 2026, organized by the art association KUN:ST International in the Orangery at Schwetzingen Palace.

« I prefer to paint outside. Wind, light, and air can be felt in my pictures. »
My artistic practice is based on direct observation and a deep connection with the natural world. I work primarily with oil and watercolor paints and am drawn to painting outdoors, where the ever-changing qualities of light, atmosphere, and weather become active participants in the creative process. These shifting conditions influence not only the visual character of each work but also its rhythm, energy, and emotional resonance, making each painting a unique response to a specific period within a day.
In addition to plein air painting, I develop works inspired by my own photographs and everyday experiences. Instead of documenting reality, I transform these impressions into compositions that move between abstraction and figuration, exploring the balance between memory, perception, and emotion.
