About this artwork
In this picture, which I took in my garden in May, I captured the beauty of the variety of colors in spring in an expressionistic way. My application of paint is very pasty and my brushstrokes are strong and dynamic. The rich texture gives the picture plasticity, depth and liveliness. A small path lined with irises, night violets and poppy blossoms leads through the picture. A small area of the pond can be seen on the right. The suspension consists…
