About this artwork
This series, speaks of a desire to bow to certain particular plants. Resistants who allow themselves to grow in the midst of solar hell. Frugales that save substantial energy, those able to capture the minute humidity of summer nights to survive.
Véronique Egloff has named them "coriaceous" and puts them in the spotlight because they force her admiration. They are seen as mundane or even undesirable. It is their insignificance despite their frenzied… presence that has touched her.
The artist has changed creative support to use a synthetic material (recovery and recycling oblige) and then it was ideal as a material for further operations. She projected her acrylic colors, then she scraped, etched, removed and dissolved the various layers to reveal my subject in a certain harmony.
This work is presented as a kakemono, but can be framed in American box.

Véronique Egloff is a French, self-taught painter. Her incredibly detailed paintings, made with both acrylic and sometimes ink, range from abstract expressionism to lyrical abstraction in style. Her subjects are many, including flora, architecture, animals, and our relationship to the environment. Her paintings are as technically impressive as they are visually stunning.
She has also interested national museums who wished to associate her work with their collections such as the National Museum of the Resistance and the François Pétrarque Museum (Vaucluse).
