Valérie Cheno is a French sculptor who has exhibited nationally and in Monaco. Her metallic sculptures explore themes surrounding mythology, philosophy, poetry, and the human condition. The delicacy of Cheno’s ‘iron lace’ symbolizes the fragility of human mortality, while also imagining parallel worlds and time that cannot be stopped. Working in both large and miniature scale formats, she uses ironwork, goldsmith techniques, metal fusion and arc welding in the creation of her pieces.
