About this artwork
In this work, I combined abstract and symbolic to capture street calligraphy. Using acrylic and alcohol marker, I layered vibrant colors and evocative words that dance across the canvas, reflecting the excitement and dynamics of urban culture. Each stroke is a heartbeat, a rebellion against silence, a hymn to free and bold expression. The name of the work is just a tribute to the instrumental style of rap culture.

Valco (born in 1981) is a self-taught artist whose universe draws its roots in graffiti, the street and contemporary calligraphy, laying the foundations of a raw and instinctive visual language.
Today, his lettering, sometimes repeated, sometimes superimposed, forms dense and vibrant compositions that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a careful reading. Between abstraction and writing, his works exude a singular energy where emotions, messages and punchlines intertwine.
Valco inscribes his style in the tradition of street art, while asserting a personal identity deeply marked by calligraphy. His creations demonstrate a constant dialogue between spontaneity and graphic rigor, offering a space where urban rhythms, intimate moods and contemporary pulses intersect.
