About this artwork
This work is produced on the recycling of a 33 rpm vinyl record. In this work, I combined acrylic, marker and spray paint to create a vibrant universe that celebrates pop culture and the aesthetic of vintage cartoons. This pantheon, bursting with vitality and humor, captures the spirit of celebration and self-affirmation. It invites each viewer to boldly embrace their uniqueness and claim their place in a gallery of shattered icons.
The originality… of the medium also calls for environmental reflection in the art world. The album cover is also tagged on the front with the artist's signature.
Valco (born in 1981) is a self-taught artist whose universe draws its roots in graffiti, the street and contemporary calligraphy, laying the foundations of a raw and instinctive visual language.
Today, his lettering, sometimes repeated, sometimes superimposed, forms dense and vibrant compositions that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a careful reading. Between abstraction and writing, his works exude a singular energy where emotions, messages and punchlines intertwine.
Valco inscribes his style in the tradition of street art, while asserting a personal identity deeply marked by calligraphy. His creations demonstrate a constant dialogue between spontaneity and graphic rigor, offering a space where urban rhythms, intimate moods and contemporary pulses intersect.
