About this artwork
This is my 11th work. It depicts a partially decomposed shark.
Nature has once again taken charge of co-creating this work. In fact, the idea came to me
appeared when seeing this piece of dead wood in the forest.
I then created the different parts of the shark so that the whole thing looks like
the impression that the animal is dissolving alive.
The aim is to highlight the vital importance of the ocean and everything it contains.
contains for… life on earth but above all to show the alarming speed at which the
life that is there and depends on it disappears because of Man.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Valentin Saccard, a sculptor with the soul and passion of a child, mainly uses aluminum, which he melts himself, and dead wood for his works. His style is nourished by contrasts - ying and yang, black and white, wood and metal - which resurrect the beauty of nature. Respectful of life, he sublimates the ecological tragedy by evoking man's irreverence towards nature in his creations, thus inspiring reflection and philosophy.
