About this artwork
In this sculpture, I wanted to capture profound introspection and inner peace through a simple, refined terracotta form. The inclined face evokes a moment of sincere, almost meditative reflection. I hope this piece brings a gentle energy to your space, filled with humility and serenity, inviting reflection and contemplation.
The Penitent is a small, delicate and sensitive sculpture. I wanted my character to show himself in all his weakness and contrition,… rope around his neck, not to hang himself but to perform an act of penance and humility.
