About this artwork
In creating this work, I sought to capture the hazy essence of Venice at sunset, using oil and chalk to convey the luminous nuances and deep shadows. The figurative technique allows me to explore the relationship between light and architecture, reflections that dance on the moving water, evoking a nostalgic stillness. This painting is not only a tribute to the beauty of Venice, but also a meditation on the passage of time, visible in the fluid movement…
and the figures that emerge almost like apparitions from the twilight.
