Freedom captures an intense moment of self-discovery. The woman with the cigarette in her hand represents an inner struggle between motherhood and self-realization. After weeks of creative block caused by the challenges of everyday motherhood, this work depicts the moment in which space for one's own freedom is reclaimed.
The image symbolizes the value of freedom and reminds us of the importance of self-development without losing one's own role.… Freedom is a liberation—a moment in which both the mother and the individual self find their place.
