In this painting dedicated to the Mahrani, I pay tribute to their strength, their courage and their devotion which marked the history of women in India.
The light pink symbolizes their rebirth, while the fuchsia evokes the tenderness that emanates from their existence.
Green represents the semblance of freedom they may have known, and orange highlights their femininity.
Finally, a frame encircles the whole, symbolizing both their hidden position… and their golden prison, in which they found the strength to rise.
