About this artwork
A vibrant expression of autumn’s energy and transition — this pure abstract painting weaves together rich yellow, earthy ochres, and flashes of reds and purples. The layered surface, created with sweeping squeegee movements, evokes the shifting rhythms of the season — where warmth meets coolness, and light filters through the changing landscape. A celebration of colour, motion, and emotion, this piece captures the essence of autumn in its most expressive… form.
« My works represent my instinctive colour theory and are a channel to my inner self. »
Vania Bouwmeester Pentcheva is an established Bulgarian artist based in the Netherlands who has exhibited her work nationally, as well as in South Africa. Moved and inspired by nature, including its presence in urban landscapes, she explores her emotions, memories and philosophical thoughts through the composition of abstract paintings full of dynamic shapes and colours. Textures and colours spontaneously arrive on the canvas, though structured layering is carefully thought out.
