About this artwork
In this piece, I've poured my fascination with the complexities of the human psyche into every brushstroke. Using acrylics, I've navigated the terrain of surrealism and abstract, crafting a tapestry of emotions that delve into the subconscious. The interplay of shadows and light, the intricate lines, and the ethereal forms all coalesce to challenge the viewer's perception. This artwork is meant to evoke introspection and add a dynamic, thought-provoking…
ambiance to any space.

« I like to paint what I see when I close my eyes. The reality accessed with closed eyes or in a lucid dream is personal and although with limitations, painting is the best way to try to communicate it. »
Vasco Kirov is an experienced Bulgarian painter living in South Africa whose works have been exhibited internationally. After a formal education in music and working in other artistic fields as a blacksmith, knife maker, and jeweler, Kirov turned to painting as another means of creative expression. His paintings are inspired by his dreams and visualisations, using vibrant colors and textures to create striking universes on canvas. Some of his work also incorporates stainless steel mixed media as a way to blur the line between art and craft.
