« Lost in the labyrinth, expresses the never-ending search for the door leading to spiritual love and peace. »
Vava Venezia Dellert is a contemporary visual artist working between Italy, Germany, and the U.S., creating photography and digital collage grounded in neo-Dada and feminist surrealism. Her work explores identity, memory, trauma, and rebirth through symbolic self-portraiture, mirrors, and emotional visual narratives.
Her acclaimed series “Selfish-Selfies” and “Eternal Feminine / Eternal Change” examine the inner landscape of the modern woman, echoing influences from Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, and Sophie Calle while maintaining a fiercely personal voice.
Active since 2013, she has exhibited in Berlin, Venice, Florence, London, and Miami, and collaborated artistically with her husband, Swedish multimedia artist Thomas Dellert, since 2013 (married 2022).
Her practice transforms lived experience migration, loss, survivalinto bold visual mythology centered on resilience and feminine strength.
