About this artwork
Painted in deep blues and violets, this nocturnal street is inspired by the emotional landscapes of childhood, where ordinary places acquire a life of their own after dark. Warm windows glow against the night, suggesting unseen stories unfolding behind the facades. The perspective bends gently, as if the city were remembered rather than observed — filtered through wonder, loneliness, and imagination.
Part of an ongoing series exploring myth, urban… life, and inner worlds, this work reflects my fascination with the hidden emotional lives of places. The city is not merely a backdrop but a living presence: watchful, mysterious, and full of possibility.
Originally created during the visual development of an animated feature project, the painting stands independently as an invitation to wander through a familiar yet enchanted landscape — a place where streets may dream, houses may breathe, and anything might emerge from the darkness.
