About this artwork
Celestial bodies is a piece I made in 2024. A modern day interpretation of Artemis, goddess of the hunt. I replaced her bow and arrow with the rim of the moon and a shooting star. As an eclipse rages on in the background, flares from it permeating throughout, she is able to effortlessly command the cosmos. This painting is a universal love letter to women everywhere, highlighting the undeniable power within all of us. This piece took upwards of 140…
hours over the course of 6 months. Spending so much time on my easel allowed the work to grow with me, adding new elements as my life progressed made this piece a visual representation of my life for that half-year.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist raised in Harlem, working primarily in female portraiture with oils. My career began with classical training at a young age, National academy school and museum and LaGuardia High school - majoring in visual art, grounding me in the traditions of academic art while allowing me to channel these foundations through my unique perspective. At 23, I have found my voice in creating large, bold, and glamorous works aiming to capture the essence of the subject I know best.
My subjects are the women in my life, used as vessels to honor of those forgotten. Highlighting the achievements of historically significant female figures erased from our cultural tapestry. Also featuring goddesses from religions no longer practiced. A recurring motif in my work is light. Whether it manifests as geometric precision or organic bursts of energy, rays of light always emanate from my Venusians, symbolizing transformation, rebirth, and the alchemy of turning pain into power.
