About this artwork
Alcira is part of the Golosas series, a collection of women who seek the sweetness of life from authenticity and the freedom to be.
Her body blossoms with gardens, seeds, and paths that speak of growth and transformation. Each symbol seems to tell a different story, as if her skin held the memory of everything she has lived. Her generous form doesn't seek to fit in, but rather to celebrate the abundance of a woman who has learned to occupy her… own space.
Alcira represents personal blossoming: that moment when we stop correcting ourselves and begin to expand. An invitation to recognize the beauty of what grows at its own pace.
Original work and unique piece made by hand by Veradeplomo.
Vera Karina Cannita uses acrylics on canvas or wood and comes from a background in audiovisual communication, human resources, and gastronomy, although her dedication to painting is self-taught and has been a passion since childhood. She employs intuitive and free techniques, fusing non-normative human bodies, nature, and symbolism with uninhibited colors and distorted forms that defy conventions. Her works radiate authenticity and vulnerability, conveying joy, truth, and the profound emotion of daring to be oneself without masks.
