About this artwork
In this work, I want to make inner and outer landscapes visible. "Lines and Fields" symbolizes the structures that shape us—both visible and invisible. Lines cross surfaces, interrupt them, connect them, and demarcate them. The surfaces appear organic, like fields from a bird's eye view, yet simultaneously abstract and enigmatic. The painting process was characterized by an interplay of control and intuition, of setting and letting go. Again and…
again, I redrawn lines, layered fields, corrected or destroyed surfaces until a balance emerged that felt right to me. The colors—between black, ochre, gray, and white—reflect the ambivalence between heaviness and lightness, between groundedness and spiritual freedom. This painting is an attempt to bring the intangible into a fragile order.
