This paint intends to reveal the unnatural junction between a deteriorated human body–with its flesh and bones–and a prosthesis. So, the piece artwork explores the interior of a deteriorated human body with an unnatural apparatus that intends to make it recover its functions.
The artist included an image of the back view of this artwork (vertical view). When she painted the work, she did not notice the figure on back of the paper until she finished… it. This mishap does not affect the artwork at all.

Veronica Huacuja is a Mexican artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom. She describes her blend of figurative and abstract artworks as being "obscure", depicting the human condition. Huacuja explores humanity and its precarious conditions through temporality, decadence, illness, and pain. She employs medical studies performed on anonymous, sick, or genderless people as inspiration, and refers to the results of her compositions as, “Human Landscapes”.
