About this artwork
This work was created within the practice of structural minimalism and explores a state of inner distance, silence, and concentrated presence. The geometric space is constructed through precise lines, large fields of color, and a balance of emptiness.
The contrast between deep blue and vivid orange creates a tense equilibrium between calmness and hidden emotional intensity. Architecture and the human figure form a unified space of contemplation and… inner concentration.

Veronika Obushikhina (b. 1976, Russia) is a contemporary artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Working across painting and video, she explores a reduced visual language built around form, colour, line and space. Her practice is driven by visual inquiry rather than predefined narratives, investigating how reduction can reveal the independent expressive potential of these elements.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in Europe and the United States, including at MEAM – Museu Europeanu d'Art Modern, Barcelona. In 2026, she was selected for the Biennale di Chianciano and named a finalist of the OSTEN Biennial in Skopje. She has also been selected for Rome Triennale 2027. Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Chianciano Art Museum and in private collections across Europe and the United States. She completed her studies at the Institute of Mediterranean Culture in 2025.
