About this artwork
In this work, I have captured the complexity of inner feelings using acrylic and varnish.
The abstract structures and multi-layered colors reflect moments of chaos and tranquility. I painted this picture many years ago and titled it "Duality," and I completely reworked it at the beginning of this year.
The result is a mysterious depth, and it radiates an energetic yet meditative atmosphere.

Veronika Staat-Bachmann uses painting, photography, sculpture and collage, influenced by her intensive studies in Cologne, Stuttgart, Paris and a study stay in Japan.
She works with acrylics, mixed media, and reworked paintings, with impasto layers, photographic elements, and associative superimpositions defining her style. Her works encompass series of nature motifs, cathedrals, and chimeras—inviting the viewer to question time and reality, while a magical dialogue between light, nature, and the unconscious radiates poignant longing and awakening hope.
My statement:
"Art is the blossoming of nature within man. Art is the language of the soul through man." (Bodenhausen)
My wish and goal, after my studies and work as a freelance artist, also in teaching and school management, is now to further develop and present my later work and to offer something positive with my art in these times...
