About this artwork
I was up at 4 am, entranced, working with the lush, thick oils, including gold. The oils are premium traditional tubed Gamblin oils and handmade R&F oil paint sticks (oil paint mixed with bees wax). The smooth and gold areas change color depending on the angle viewed. Sealed with clear Gamblin Gamvar.
Painted on beautiful and sustainable birch panel with a 1.7"/4cm deep cradle, manufactured by American Easel just about 30 miles from my studio in… Oregon, USA. The sides show the natural, light birch wood. (p.s. please note the first side view image shows the sides with the green tape I attach while painting. With the tape removed the sides look like the second photo, showing the blonde wood cradle.)
Signed on the front and back, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
