About this artwork
Painted with many layers of acrylics on paper. It took a long time exploring with lots of built up paint to find the final image. Sometimes I sand down heavily textured areas to show colors below. In this case, I like the thick texture from the build up of the paint colors and gestures. The resulting texture reminds me of rocks and stone, whose feel I have always enjoyed.
