About this artwork
"Somewhere in Nowhere" is about the vastness of open spaces where one can view the sky and the perception of distance becomes infinite. I was inspired by all the years I lived in the Southwest with all the beautiful sunsets I was so blessed to have experienced.

Vicki Van Vynckt’s paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. The American artist wishes to convey the importance of connectivity to nature, of all beings to each other and a divine source. Van Vynckt primarily creates representational landscapes in oil, but she also paints abstracts using watercolours and alcohol-based inks. She starts with a sketch, then adds additional layers with dry brushing techniques.
