About this artwork
Work that is part of an exploration of the idea of landscape as a vital experience. Although the landscaping idea underlies as a visual key to painting, inviting the gaze to travel through the different areas of the image in a going back and forth between detail and set, elements and context, my painting is resolved in abstraction, in what is not literal and not narrative, according to its own internal logic.
The work is unassembled on a frame and… so it works wonderfully. It can also be mounted as it has a 5 cm margin around it.

Vicky Kylander is an award-winning artist based in Sweden whose paintings have been exhibited in both Spain and Portugal. She describes her works as arising from her aesthetic interests and experiences of the moment. It is only afterwards that Kylander is cognisant of certain connections or recurring ideas interwoven in her compositions. Linked to expressionism, her art can be interpreted as a "visual landscpae key".
