About this artwork
The concept behind this painting comes from the artist's own personal experience in the music buisness and expresses the compromises that sometimes are made for success. The idea of busted strings is a metaphor for breaking our organic artistic ability in compromise for acceptance in a corporate industry

« I strive for my paintings to have strength and to be bold using acrylic and glitter in heavy primary colors creating vivid texture. »
Victor Davies is a promising newcomer from the United Kingdom whose paintings have been featured in exhibitions internationally. Inspired by the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Davies began his own artistic practice inspired by vivid dreams that he then translates onto the canvas. Working in acrylics, his abstract paintings are characterized by frenzied forms and a recurring color motif of deep red.
