Title : The Hoops
Multiple hoops intersect one another, some are complete circles within the piece others are partial so to allow the viewers eye to 'fill in' larger circles. The vertical colour bands are asymmetrical in the layout of shades but reflect each other symmetrically in size and colour.
There is a variation in height across the piece, this is something that really accentuates the depth of the relief by creating a number of harmonious… shadow lines.
The palette was brought together to uplift. There is a stain glass window quality to the piece, something cathedral like.
This piece has its own character, and is part of the evolving 'Circular series'.
This piece measures:
Height: 46 1/2 inches (118cm)
Width: 31 inches (78.5cm)
Depth: 3/4 inch (2cm)
A single recessed keyhole slot is installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang with just one screw in a wall. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
