The painting was exhibited on the occasion of the 2025 Jubilee of Hope
This painting was made according to the rules of Modrian geometric abstraction. Only straight lines, horizontal and vertical and with a maximum of 5 colors: white, black, red, blue, yellow. In the painting I use only 3: white, black, red. Black and white symbolize darkness and light. The polygon in the darkness trusts the one in the light, hope is that thread, sometimes weak… sometimes stronger, that connects them. The polygon in the light helps it with that thread to get out of the darkness. Hope is the engine that can make us do this. The polygons are made with acrylic stucco, to give volume, depth, thickness. Hope is that thread that connects us with the Divine from which we absorb energy, becoming thicker
