About this artwork
Anime – Insieme is a work that speaks of relationships without the use of faces, glances, or words. Two stylized figures, essential to the core, face each other, maintaining a minimal distance yet charged with emotional tension, clearly connected by a continuous flow of color that flows like a silent language between two presences.
The bodies seem to flow, melt, lose rigidity. This is a painting that rejects stability in favor of emotional movement:… the forms are not fixed, but are traversed by primary and secondary colors that evoke contrasting, vital, and sometimes dissonant feelings. The geometric bases on which the figures rest suggest an attempt at balance, while the neutral background amplifies the sense of suspension, as if time were momentarily paused. The work conveys the idea of "togetherness" not as total fusion, but as conscious coexistence: two autonomous, rooted souls that lean toward each other without canceling each other out.

My name is Vincenzo Raimondo, I live and work in Palermo, a city of contradictions that profoundly influence my vision. I'm a self-taught artist, and my painting doesn't follow a fixed style: it evolves over time, along with my experiences and personal maturity. My art is instinctive, essential, and imperfect, rooted in the complexity of humanity and nature. I don't seek perfection, because it doesn't belong to reality. Imperfections become part of the work: rough marks, dirty or scratched surfaces are traces of the creative process and my identity. I love what is authentic and lived-in. For me, art isn't decoration, but presence, accessible and sincere, capable of connecting with the viewer.
