**Vinoda Revannasiddaiah** is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in Bengaluru, India. Her artistic journey began in the 1980s, inspired by a lifelong fascination with colour and a desire to create with complete artistic freedom.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Vinoda has developed a distinctive technique in which **water becomes her brush**, allowing colours to flow, merge and form unexpected patterns. Her paintings draw inspiration from nature, movement, light and emotion, translating these experiences into vibrant and fluid abstract compositions.
Her work has been exhibited in India and internationally, including at the National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Taj Art Gallery, Mumbai, and Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru, as well as in Kampala and Nairobi. She has received a National Lalit Kala Honourable Mention and an A.I.F.A.C.S. Award.
Her art celebrates spontaneity, colour and the freedom of abstract expression.
