About this artwork
6310/640/S
Plexiglas, pigments, acrylic
200 x 120 cm
After spending almost a year mainly working on my blackboard drawings in 25 x 18 cm, it was time for BIG.
It's been years since I last dared to tackle a 200 x 120 cm format. For me, this size has always been a challenge, mainly mentally. So much could go wrong! Consequently, the tension and the fear of failure and despair are immense. As a result, I'm always pretty exhausted and feel completely… burned out afterward, especially after weeks of mentally rehearsing the various necessary processes. Because when it comes to the execution, everything has to be just right.
The luminosity of the artwork 6310/640/S is enormous. It's a shame that it's impossible to take photos from the side without distracting reflections, because that reveals a completely different and unique dimension.
