The artist defines barcodes as the most telling example of a society where everything has a price, even people and their feelings. These codes are everywhere, so we imagine a forest contaminated with barcodes that mix with trees. It should be noted well, that the codes are not represented in their integral form, but are missing some parts, they are crumbling, while the trees next to them stand colored upwards, and small butterflies fly in the bright… sky. The latter arise from the rubble of a vicious, aberrant economic system, and indicate that humanity is in a great phase of epochal change, where darkness gives way to light and color.
