About this artwork
This piece channels raw, overwhelming energy, capturing the chaotic swirl of emotions within. Using vibrant reds and yellows with textured acrylic strokes, I poured my inner struggles onto the canvas. While recovering from all the pain and suffering of surviving my son. I have become a beast of anxiety and depression and anger. It created a monster in me. I was doing an abstract on those colors, yellow for fear, red for anger, and black for depression.… I wasn't happy with it until I decided to take some brown and white and create a negative space, I had no Idea this would be created, until I saw it was created. I realize I was screaming to get out in painting. This is my monster, that anxiety, over what I am becoming, and what I am hate. I see the monster who hurts his loved ones, due to fear and pain. I saw it, once I painted the negative space in the composition. It is the monster inside me screaming to let loose the rage and anger and fear, but I won't let him loose.
