About this artwork
These prints are based upon one of the artist's pencil drawings, in which he morphed together elements of different found objects and materials that he'd been collecting for use in his sculptures. Unlike his recent speed drawings this one harks back to the draughtsmanship style he used in the 80s and early 90s when he worked as a technical illustrator for a large international Japanese production company.
In order to give the prints a subtle 'pencily'… quality the screen prints were hand-pulled (at a printing studio where Banksy's prints were also being printed) using an ink made with graphite powder. So, once framed, it is best that this print is positioned somewhere where it can be examined close-up. It's not designed to be a piece that pops from a distance.
These are printed on archival quality paper and each one is signed and editioned.
