I’m often asked, “how long did it take you to make that?” I tell them, “my whole life.” The specific time it takes me to translate from my brain, to the brush, to the canvas, is frankly irrelevant relative to what you are seeing. These figures represent the sum of everything I am in its best and purest form. It is a very delicate and rare thing when one can accomplish both depth and completeness in a few brushstrokes. It’s not a lot and yet…
it’s everything. An embodiment of what appears to be less is actually more.
