About this artwork
Serotonin is a pivotal piece from my series dedicated to neurotransmitters. Serotonin, a vital hormone, plays an integral role in the regulation of various aspects of our behavior, including mood, cognition, reward (in conjunction with dopamine), learning, memory, and a plethora of physiological processes such as vomiting and vasoconstriction. It is widely recognized that diminished serotonin levels are implicated in conditions such as depression,…
anxiety, mania, and other mental health disorders.
This artwork is meticulously crafted on raw linen canvases using acrylic paint, consistent with my signature artistic approach. Like all of my creations, it eschews conventional brushwork in favor of employing forceful bursts of air to shape and imbue the canvas with its unique form and character. Flower-like shape created against raw linen canvas creates a harmonious composition that stands out in the interrior.
