A fragment of a song lyric, a fragment of desire, luxury and alienation — Tiffany-twisted got the Mercedes bends captures the contours of a figure that seems to dissolve into movement and light.
The composition consists of fluttering lines and strokes of pink, orange and purple, alternating with deep black accents. What presents itself is not a body, but a state of mind. The abstract forms suggest femininity, poses,… perhaps even memories of a model, but nothing is fixed.
The title playfully refers to the desire for beauty and status, but at the same time shows the confusion that results from it. Instead of control, the canvas offers a sense of letting go — as if identity is not formed here, but evaporates in color and movement.
This work invites you not to look for recognition, but to surrender to the rhythm of the lines. To what remains when everything has been peeled away.
