About this artwork
Since the beginning of 2019, Willi Lemke has been experimenting with acrylic paint, marble powder and other materials. The abstract paintings in this series have impasto elevations with cracks, in which the ink flows during the design process and has a decisive effect on the effect of the poses.
The compositions see themselves as an experimental moment. The purely abstract and informal painting speaks with the nuances of the colors. But surreal,… infinitely branched landscapes of color and structure can be seen, in which the individual image levels grow into one another.

Willi Lemke is an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist from Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally as well as in Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, Austria, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. With a career spanning over fifty years, he has experienced many artistic phases. In Lemke's most recent work, upcycling and recycling are central to his artistic practice.
