A breathtaking vista over the vast sandbanks of the Wadden Sea. The interaction between sky and light, water and land is captured in bold brushstrokes and subtle layers of color. Slufters – tidal creeks where saltwater flows deep inland – meander like veins through the landscape.
This mixed media composition combines natural textures with paint, giving the work a tangible sense of depth. The serene… sky filled with cloud formations contrasts with the dynamic tidal flats below, where mud, sand, and water are in constant motion.
An homage to the unique UNESCO World Heritage site Wadden Sea – raw, tranquil, and ever-changing.
