'Lux Ecce Surgit Aurea' - 'See the Golden Light arise'
This series of artworks is inspired by the title of a poem by the 4th-century Roman poet Aurelius Prudentius from his book Liber Cathemerion.
The series consists of 20 versions. Every artwork is an exploration of the relationship between form, colour and the impact of light.
Each work begins as a print of an engraving and drypoint in lead. This is done with different colours of ink. This version,… number 8, has been edited with pigment and pastel, creating a separate, unique work.
