About this artwork
It is summer, evenings are long. The air is full of sounds, people sit in their gardens and on balconies. In the distance, a dog barks and receives an answer from a congener close by. As it gets darker, it gets quieter. The streetlights come on, and suddenly you see shapes and structures that weren't there before. It's like meeting an old friend on a nighttime walk that you'd never seen but knew had to be there. Some trees look like they are made…
of fire.
