In the series 'On Light', Wim van Loon explores the interaction between light, colour and shape, the way they enhance each other, the balance between both elements.
Van Loon likes to work in series, combining different techniques and materials. This way of working offers many possibilities for approaching a subject.
All the versions of 'On Light' start as prints, dry-points in lead. Each version is made of eight separate prints, that are joined to… make up the artwork. The prints have been carefully inked, every version in a different way or colour, making them all unique.
In most versions, the artist then worked with ink, pigments, or pastels. This is one of them.
The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
