I have been painting my whole life. As a child I was always drawing in the books we used. I was bored by the lessons we got anyway.
After highschool I wanted to go to art school but my parents wouldn't let me. They thought it was too dangerous.

I joined a teacher training school, where I learned a great deal about drawing, coloring and perspective.
Later, I díd go to different art schools—in Antwerp, Lier (Belgium) and Vienna.
I had my first exhibition in Lier, where I sold almost all of my paintings—which then were Impressionist in style.
After that my style changed. I created a maze in collaboration with other painters, and we toured the entire Netherlands.
Everything changed when I contracted Lyme disease. I was ill for a long time. When I started feeling better, I took up painting again but in a completely different style. As happens a lot to people with Lyme I got drawn into spirituality. I . went everywhere tos wim with dolphins, made pictures of a lot of flowers and put all
