About this artwork
The artist likes it when the finished form is heavy. Like a serious argument for his diet. He often assumed a fruit as the starting point, which is then sculpted. There is abundance. He takes away from the crowd – air flows in. And what about when he takes away more material? A model is usually modeled with plaster, for example. But Wolf E. Schultz also loves to sculpt the models with the idea of the finished bronze.
Each of his works has an individual… number engraved on it. This unique item bears the number #0613.

Wolf E. Schultz is a sculptor who works with wood, stone, bronze, found objects, and scrap metal, driven by a deep admiration and observation of nature. He employs both subtractive and additive techniques, creating works that are intuitive, spontaneous, and material-centric – each form grows out of the material itself, often organically abstract. His sculptures convey fascinating, direct emotions that stem from his engagement with nature and his intuition, emotions that are immediately palpable for the viewer.
